What we collect

When you send an enquiry through the form on our Enquire page, we receive whatever you choose to put in these fields:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number, if you give one
• What you are interested in, such as the Candle Bar, a public workshop or a corporate session
• Event date, if you have one in mind
• Guest count
• Venue or city
• Your message

Only your name and email address are required. Everything else is optional, and an enquiry without those details is perfectly welcome.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, and to work out whether we can help with what you are planning. Details such as the date, guest count and venue let us answer properly the first time rather than asking a series of follow-up questions. We do not use your enquiry for anything unrelated to responding to it.

Who handles it

Our website is hosted by Netlify. When you submit the form, Netlify receives it, stores it and makes it available to us. Your enquiry is held on Netlify's systems as well as reaching us. Netlify has its own privacy terms, which apply to that processing.

Authorised Scented Cascade personnel may receive an email notification when an enquiry arrives, so that someone can respond to you. Access is limited to the people who need it to reply.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list from an enquiry.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful for the conversation and for our own records, and we review them periodically. As a general rule we do not keep enquiry details beyond about two years from your last contact with us, unless we are working together or there is a specific reason to keep them for longer. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@scentedcascade.com and we will deal with it. We may need to confirm who you are before making changes, simply so that we do not act on someone else's request.

Hosting and security technology

Our host uses standard technology needed to serve the site safely and reliably. That includes encrypted connections, protective response headers, and the basic server logging any web host performs, which can include information such as an IP address and browser type. This is used to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse, not to build a profile of you.

The enquiry form includes a hidden field that automated spam bots tend to fill in and people do not. It exists only to filter out spam.

Cookies and analytics

At the time of writing we do not run analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site. If we add anything of that kind later, we will describe it here first, along with any choice you have about it.

Links to other services

Some buttons on this site open services we do not control:

• WhatsApp, when you choose to message us. Your conversation there is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
• Instagram, if you follow the link to our profile.

Once you leave our site, the privacy terms of that service apply rather than this notice.

Changes to this notice

If our practices change, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
